PDL Marine were approached by a company in London to help design and to build a vessel that could work across a multitude of tasks from filming, to carrying cargo, diving and also transit of passengers. The vessel also had to be IMO Tier III Compliant to meet the MCA rules and regulations.

Our solution was PDL Marine's 9m Multipurpose customised landing craft "Bravo Lima", with a pair of diesel outboards rated to 174hp, as 175hp is the point where the engines have to be tier III certified.

The engines were also set to run on HVO fuel which is made from 100% renewable raw materials which in turn reduces the CO2 gas emissions by up to 90%. The vessel is also capable of operating at speeds of 30 knots. (Please use image in folder ‘case studies’

Needless to say the client was very happy with the product to the point that they ordered another boat, the LC850 "Romeo Lima".
