The challenge

Passenger ferry operator, Wightlink, required a swift, high-quality refit of their catamaran fast-ferry. The objective was to address structural wear, upgrade key systems, and to quickly return the vessel to service.

PDL Marine completed hull repairs, overhauled propulsion and hydraulic systems, refreshed interiors – delivering a full refit under tight timelines with class-compliant testing and certification.

The refit improved vessel safety, reliability, and passenger comfort. Operational downtime was minimised, and the ferry returned to service on schedule, enhancing Wightlink's fleet performance and public service standards.
